Yes Pastor, your memory may fail you but your sunday school kids remember you Well! May be you still can remember your days in sunday school, where all the little innocent faces looked like you?

Do not cry over Ranisha McBride, remember that kid that you taught in Sunday school? They are now grown and are armed with a gun!

In the quite secluded segregated small churches scattered in rural areas of the USA, Christianity innocently teaches little small white kids in Sunday schools that the devil is black. Conditioning, conditioning, conditioning, what would you do if the devil was running to you or knocking on your door? What if the good Lord has been good to you, blessed you with a few billions of dollars and the devil has taken your country over? The answers are : Stand your ground and take your country back! Words, language and early conditioning matters! Christianity has a responsibility on how the US society has turned out, how it treats its minorities, how it reacts to immigrants  and why faith in religion is faltering.

Do not cry over Ranisha McBride, remember the kid you taught in Sunday school? They are now grown and are armed with a gun!

As human beings, we are all wired to believe in something bigger and more everlasting than over selves, why then are we seeing main stream churches empty? It may be in the definition of God in our own cultures and vilifying any other definition hence the continuous reference in English, of the devil being black, wearing black bands to memorialize a bad experience and wearing black in funerals! It does not matter what you say to me, I learn a lot from what you do!

Do not cry over Ranisha McBride, remember the kid you taught in Sunday school? They are now grown and are armed with a gun!

How can I believe in a system of teachings, that hold that I am the devil? How can I explain to my little boy that when he is hurt and stands in need, he should not run to the police or knock on a door in a christian neighborhood? How can I reconcile the story of your neighbor, and the fact that because of the early life conditioning by Sunday schools all over the USA, he is seen as the devil? I am torn between making him believe in the goodness of the christian faith and every parents need to protect their child. I have confidence that the Almighty God never made a mistake in creating people of different skin complexions and body structures. I trust that the bible as written and interpreted throughout the ages, was written by people immersed in their own culture and environment who put their humanly biases in the voice of God.

Whereas there are many black and brown people on earth, very many white people, during their fragile formative years are shielded intentionally from seeing, contacting or thinking of them in a positive way. Their bibles are the only reference as interpreted by adults who preach fire, brimstone and the devil, who invariably is black!

Do not cry over Ranisha McBride, remember the kid you taught in Sunday school? They are now grown and are armed with a gun! They are the police, the judge, the jury, the Sunday school teacher, the class teacher, the congress man and the senator. They only smile and wink when the devil is whacked! It hurts them to look at the devil, Be happy pastor, your conditioning worked!

Jesus, Mahatma Gandhi, ML King and the Delai Lama have taught us that none violence will sit out and outlast any violence and bigotry. We know that God is not wrong, but the religious zealots and their interpretation of the voice of God are wrong, they were wrong two thousand years ago, they are wrong now! Ranisha McBride will for ever be 19 and outlive all you silent soldiers teaching little kids that the devil is black!

Do not cry over Ranisha McBride, remember the kid you taught in Sunday school? They are now grown and are armed with a gun! In the silent middle of the night, take a hard look at yourself in the Mirror and reconcile with your maker.
